Proyecto LAB: Open Data & Open-Dai link to Liquid Galaxy

The "Open Data & Open Dai link to Liquid Galaxy" is the 2013 End of Career project for the computing degree of Joan Llimiñana, a University of Lleida Engineering School (EPS) alumni.

It consists in a set of tools that will help the importing and visualization of the data from a public administration Open Data repository, all geolocated over Google Earth on a Liquid Galaxy rig.

Also the project will link with the Open-Dai European funded project that Ponent 2002 handles on behalf of the Lleida City Council.
Open-DAI  (Opening Data Architectures and Infrastructures of European Public Administrations) is a project with 11 partner of 4 European countries (Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey), working together to open a large part of Public Administration’s databases to the wide audience of potential users through an open data hub in order to correlate data and to implement new digital public services
to evolve PA's information systems toward an open model and Service Oriented Architecture in order to overcome the monolithic and closed models and to facilitate software maintenance of existing silos to host PA's services into a scalable cloud infrastructure in order to meet the evolving needs

Innovation, business opportunities and digital services are the three goals that drive Open-DAI.

The "Open Data & Open Dai link to Liquid Galaxy" is possible thanks to the partnership with the Lleida City Council and his Computing Department.
