Gemini Summer of Code: Agentic Programming Contest 2026
The Liquid Galaxy project has launched an innovative coding contest focused on the "AI tsunami" and Agentic Programming. The goal is to build an environment that automates the development of Liquid Galaxy (LG) applications for Flutter or Web using Google’s Antigravity framework and Gemini as the exclusive LLM.
The Core Challenge
Participants are not just building an app, but an agentic system. You must create an Antigravity package containing specialized agents capable of generating LG applications. The demo app produced by these agents must include "Task 2" functionalities and integrate an external API to display KML data on LG screens.
Required Deliverables
- Starter Kit: A Flutter or Web "skeleton" implementing historical best practices.
- agent/ Folder: The core agentic system, including modified skills, rules, and workflows.
- Demo Repository: A sample app created entirely using your starter kit and agent system.
- Video Demo (Max 30 mins): A detailed walkthrough covering the repository, agent skills, and the resulting app’s workflow.
- Technical Documentation: Comprehensive README on GitHub.
Rules and Eligibility
Deadline: February 18, 2026.
Tools: Strictly Google Antigravity and Gemini. No other models allowed.
License: All work must be Open Source (MIT/Apache 2.0).
Eligibility: Must be 18+ and not reside in US-blacklisted countries. Mentors are ineligible to compete.

Prizes
1st Place (Web & Flutter): A "Golden Ticket" (99% probability of a GSoC internship) and official credits in future releases.
2nd Place: A Liquid Galaxy and Google swag pack.
Evaluation Criteria
Judges will look for a deep understanding of agentic workflows, adherence to DRY and SOLID principles, adequate test coverage, and clear, high-quality documentation.
